Little Shop Diaries – Week 4: Emotions, Chaos, and a Hungry Plant 🪴

Week 4 brought a thrilling mix of heart and horror as we tackled “Suddenly Seymour,” “Now (It’s Just the Gas),” “Git It,” and recapped “Skid Row.” Emotions soared in the tender duet between Seymour and Audrey, while the intensity ramped up with the manic energy of “Now (It’s Just the Gas).” The cast also unleashed their inner villain with “Git It,” bringing Audrey II’s menacing presence to life. Revisiting “Skid Row” helped sharpen the harmonies and movement – the streets are getting busier, and the story’s growing wilder by the week!

Little Shop Diaries – Week 3: Skid Row Comes to Life 🪴

Week 3 is in full swing as our fabulous cast tackles “Da-Doo,” “Mushnik and Son,” and “Dentist” – with vocals and choreography starting to bring Skid Row to life! The choreography has kicked off, and it’s been exciting to see the cast move through the steps, capturing the gritty energy of the streets. Each number is coming together beautifully, and the energy in the room is electric as we continue to build this unforgettable world.

Little Shop Diaries – Week 2: The Cast Sings Together 🪴

Week 2 was a major milestone as the full cast sang together for the first time! We tackled “Skid Row,” “Da-Doo,” and “Ya Never Know,” and the energy was incredible. It was amazing to hear everyone’s voices blending, bringing the songs to life in a way that really captured the spirit of the show. The cast is already sounding fantastic, and it’s clear that the Skid Row vibes are starting to shine through!

Little Shop Diaries – Week 1: Setting the Stage 🪴

Week 1 was all about laying the foundation as we read through the initial scenes with basic direction. It was a chance for the cast to get a feel for their characters and how the story is unfolding. With the director’s guidance, we began to explore the key moments that will set the tone for the rest of the show. It was a great opportunity to bond as a team and start seeing the magic of Skid Row come to life, one step at a time.

Week 0 kicked off with an exciting milestone – the table read! Our full cast came together for the first time, diving into the script and experiencing the soundtrack live. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear the characters come to life, and everyone was buzzing with excitement. The journey to Skid Row has officially begun!
