In October 2017, Cafe Artois opened its doors, bringing Rene and his troubles to Marden, juggling the resistance, concealed airmen, a stolen painting, the Gestapo, local occupying forces, his wife’s singing talent, a clueless British agent and his love life.

The production

Played over 3 nights to full houses, ‘Allo ‘Allo was a show loved by all. Delighting the audience, the cast and crew had a fantastic time putting it together. Iconic characters and lines, known from the long-running TV series and based around the famous episode about the stolen picture of the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies.

Putting on a show

A lot goes into putting a show together – beyond rehearsals, there’s a whole team that comes together to create a set, gather props, source costumes and manage the stage and front of house. During get in, cast, crew, volunteers and MTG members gather to create the set and at the end of the run, to take it all apart again.
